i need some advice.... i work in a large nursing home, i have become the clinical manager on my floor, i am an extremely strong LPN and on many occasions thought to be an RN. my nurses are lazy in their work, mostly the paperwork not being completely filled out or half a--ed. i have been nice, authoritative, and have disciplined them, but to no avail.

i need some suggestions on what to do. PLEASE!

That is frustrating but maybe I would find out why they aren't filling it out. Is it too much paperwork? I know it's hard not to get angry and view them as lazy but if all of them are not doing it, usually there is a reason why and I would want to find out why. Good Luck.

I would also try to talk to them and ask why they are behaving in that particular way. Maybe they will respond honestly and the whole situation improves.
