After a previous line of topic, unsafe housing, I thought I would share my sites to check out a locales stats. I go to Sperlings Best Places and the US Census bureau. You have to sign up with Sperlings but it is a no cost site and very informative. I also use Rent.com to check out housing though I admit this can be misleading.
I found the sites after ending up in a high crime rate in Section 8 housing. Sperlings saved me from signing on in a very polluted area though my recruter told me it was a beautiful city by the mountains. It was, you just couldn't see the mountains through the smog, rated at the worst on the scale.
I use these sites as the defining item after interviewing.  |
