I have been a RN for 15 years now working on both medical and surgical adult floors. Now I work as an offshift (nightshift and holidays) supervisor while I go back to school for another degree. I am working on a paper for my bachelors in management and need your help. Would you answer a couple of questions?
1. How long have you been a professional nurse?
2. Did you ever consider anything other than nursing?
3. Why a nurse?
4. Since you have been practicing what are some of the situations you have been in that made you think....did I make the right choice?
5. Have you ever had any ethical dilemmas (being in a position of not being an advocate for your patient for fear of losing your job, having a doctor angry at you when he/she was not understanding your position,.....).
6. Are you considering a change in professions at this time? If so, any ideas on what you would do??
Any information (even if it isn't in a question) will be helpful. My paper topic is A Nursing Crisis: Nurse Retention and Recruitment highlighting why nurses are leaving the profession midcareer. |
