Be very cautious before accepting an assignment in the ICU at Washoe. Although the facility is nice, the management in the ICU is notorious for pulling travelers in the office to reprimand them on insignificant occurences. I witnessed the director belittle and humiliate a traveler, and actually screaming at another traveler for not having the bed at a 30 degree angle. They also tell you that you are required to work every other weekend and then schedule you to work every saturday.

we were at washoe for 13 weeks.. We started out with difficulty with managment.. it got better.. but I did see a lot of abuse going on with several travelers.. I would warn all to just be aware of the problems before you go.. they have had a very bad rep for a long time.. they stated they were working on it but i fear not much has changed. good luck to all who go.. I was there to see the abuse of a few that have posted here .. it was as bad as they say. |
