Dress to impress on interviews. I can't tell you how many people dress inappropriately for interviews. I know that most hospitals are casual atmospheres, but you should look in the mirror before your interview and ask yourself if your attire is appropriate.

Do's
* Ideally, you should dress a level above the person conducting the interview. Not because you want to show the person up...but because you want to show them that you are taking the interview and the job you are interviewing for seriously.
* Men - Wear a dark suit (blue, dark grey or black), white shirt, and a dark conservative tie.
* Women - Dress consirvatively. Preferably a business suit, or medium/long length skirt.
* If you have a video camera, then video yourself sitting down for a mock interview. Be consious of your posture and how you place your legs when you sit. Ask yourself if you appear confident. Then try to mirror that body language during your interview.

Do Not's
* Do not wear scrubs....the goal of an interview is to make an impression that stands out. I know you wear scrubs to the hospital regularly, and that everyone you see will be in scrubs...but the point is to make a positive impression.
* Don't wear overpowering perfume or cologne. I know it smells good to you, but a small spray is more than enough.
* Don't wear socks that don't match.
